What is CCE?

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) refers to a system of school-based evaluation of students that covers all aspects of students’ development. It is a developmental process of assessment which emphasizes two-fold objectives:

  • 1. Continuity in Evaluation – Assessment on a regular basis throughout the year.
  • 2. Assessment of Broad-based Learning & Behavioral Outcomes – Evaluating scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

CCE Evaluation Pattern (Class IX & X)

Academic Year divided into Two Terms

Second Term
(October - March)
FA3 Formative Assessment 3 20 10% SA2 = 80 Marks

Average of FA3 + FA4 = 20 Marks
Total = 100 Marks
FA4 Formative Assessment 4 20 10%
SA2 Summative Assessment 2 80 30%
Final Result = SA1 (30%) + SA2 (30%) + FA Average (40%) = 100%
